Who we are
This policy explains how [Seven7 Pay legal entity name] ("Seven7 Pay", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit seven7pay.com, contact us, or apply for a merchant account. It covers this website only. If you are approved, your merchant agreement and the privacy notices of our sponsor bank and processing partners also apply to the payment services you use.
Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@seven7pay.com or by mail to [Mailing address].
Information we collect
Information you give us
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Merchant application | Business: business (DBA) and legal name, business type, industry, products or services sold, month and year started, website, federal tax ID (EIN), physical and billing addresses, phone, fax and email, average transaction size and monthly card volume, and the checking account and routing number for deposits. Owner: name, title, ownership percentage, home address and phone, date of birth, Social Security number, and driver license name, number, issuing state, issue and expiration dates. |
| Contact form | Your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. |
| Email or phone | Whatever you choose to tell us. |
We need this information to underwrite your account and to verify the identity of business owners, as federal law (including the USA PATRIOT Act) requires. The application is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Your tax ID, Social Security number, date of birth, bank account and routing numbers and driver license number are encrypted again before they are stored, are never included in notification emails, and can only be read by authorized underwriting staff. We never ask for card numbers on this website.
Information collected automatically
- Technical details with each form submission: your browser's user-agent string, the page that referred you, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We use a temporary hash of your IP address to limit repeated submissions and prevent abuse.
- Campaign details: if you arrive through a link containing tracking parameters (for example
utm_source) or a plan choice, we store those with your application so we know which page or campaign brought you. - Saved progress on your device: the application saves your answers in your browser's local storage so you can come back and finish later. Tax ID, Social Security, date of birth, bank and driver license numbers are never saved this way. Saved answers stay on your device, are not sent to us until you submit, and are deleted from your browser when you submit. You can also clear it at any time through your browser settings.
How we use information
- To review your application, contact you about it and decide whether we can offer you an account.
- To answer messages and questions you send us.
- To protect our website and forms from spam, fraud and abuse.
- To understand which pages and campaigns lead people to apply, so we can improve our website.
- To meet legal, regulatory and card network obligations, and to enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business:
- Our sponsor bank and processing partners ([Sponsor bank name] and [Processing partner name]), when you apply, so they can underwrite and provide payment services.
- Service providers who host our website, deliver email and store form submissions for us, under contracts that limit how they may use the information. If we connect our forms to a customer relationship management (CRM) or workflow tool, submissions are sent there too: [list CRM / automation providers, if any].
- Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google's servers, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when you visit. Google's use of that data is described in its own privacy policy.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, court order or card network rules, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, us or others.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently set advertising or analytics cookies on this website. The only browser storage we use is the local storage described above, which saves your application progress on your own device.
If analytics, advertising pixels or chat tools are added later, update this section and add a cookie notice or consent banner where required.
How long we keep information
We keep application and contact records for as long as we need them to review your application, maintain a relationship with you and meet legal and card network record-keeping requirements. Applications that do not result in an account are kept for [retention period, e.g. 24 months] and then deleted or anonymized, unless we need to keep them longer for legal reasons. Abuse-prevention records tied to hashed IP addresses are kept for only a short period.
How we protect information
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for our website and forms, limit who on our team can access submissions, and store submissions in locations that are not publicly accessible. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach where the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct or delete your personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain uses, or withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share it for advertising).
- Not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@seven7pay.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. Residents of the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, Canada and Australia can also contact their local data protection authority.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email. We may still send messages about an application or account you have with us.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and information you submit is processed and stored in the United States. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date at the top of this page and, if the changes are significant, we will give more prominent notice.
