Why we have this policy

Seven7 Pay specializes in businesses that teach: coaches, course creators, educators, authors and membership communities. To keep accounts healthy and comply with the rules of our sponsor bank, [Sponsor bank name], and the card networks, every merchant must follow this policy. It forms part of your merchant agreement.

Not sure whether your business fits? Ask us before you apply at legal@seven7pay.com. Context helps us say yes.

Prohibited businesses and practices

We cannot process payments for:

  • Misleading earnings or results claims, including guaranteed income, "get rich quick" programs, or promises of specific financial, health or relationship outcomes.
  • Pyramid schemes and business opportunities where earnings depend mainly on recruiting others.
  • Unlicensed regulated advice, such as individualized investment, trading signals, tax or legal advice where a license is required and not held.
  • Health claims to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions, and sales of prescription drugs, controlled substances or unapproved supplements.
  • Content you do not own, including resold, pirated or "private label rights" courses you are not licensed to sell.
  • Credit repair, debt relief and similar services that charge fees in advance.
  • Adult content, gambling, weapons, illegal products or services, or anything else prohibited by law or card network rules.
  • Virtual currency trading, sales or investment programs.
  • Processing payments on behalf of another business (factoring) or for products you do not deliver yourself.

Restricted: reviewed case by case

These are allowed with additional review, and may come with specific requirements or limits agreed in writing:

  • High-ticket programs priced above [amount, e.g. $5,000].
  • Pre-sales or deposits for programs, events or retreats that start more than [e.g. 60] days after purchase.
  • Financial, investing and trading education (education only, not individualized advice).
  • Health, wellness, nutrition and fitness coaching.
  • Large launches above your approved monthly volume. Tell your account manager before you open cart.

Merchant requirements

Every merchant must:

  • Clearly describe what the customer is buying, the full price, and what is and is not included.
  • Publish refund, cancellation and access policies, and show them at checkout.
  • Get clear consent for subscriptions and payment plans, including the amount, frequency, number of payments and how to cancel.
  • Deliver what was sold, and keep records of delivery and access (logins, attendance, downloads).
  • Use a recognizable billing descriptor and provide customer support contact details.
  • Respond to customer complaints and dispute requests promptly.
  • Follow all applicable laws, including consumer protection, advertising and privacy laws.

Marketing and testimonials

  • Testimonials must be real, from real customers, and reflect typical results or clearly disclose that results vary.
  • Income or results claims must be truthful and substantiated.
  • Do not use fake scarcity (for example countdown timers that reset) or misleading discounts.

Monitoring and enforcement

We review accounts during onboarding and on an ongoing basis, including websites, sales pages, refund rates and dispute rates. If we find a violation, we will usually contact you first to fix it. Serious or repeated violations may lead to limits, holds on funds as permitted by your merchant agreement, or account closure. We will explain what is happening and why.

Reporting a concern

To report a merchant you believe is violating this policy, email legal@seven7pay.com with as much detail as you can.
